Hey I'm Back
Back from the pumphouse. We were on a small satellite base that didnt have internet or phone so i havent updated the blog in a while. We did a lot of work out at the pumphouse, for the first week we were out the we worked constantly to clean up the base. It was disorganized and in disrepair so we worked hard to get everything squared away. We also had to man shifts on the towers that protect the base. It was pretty rustic living out there, we had to conserve water so we took what are called "Navy Showers" (because they do these on ships), in a Navy Shower you turn on the water for a little while just enough to get wet. Then you turn the water off and lather up, then you turn the water back on to rinse off. We also had no running water for toilets so we had to use an outhouse facility and then burn our own waste. Thats a crappy job but i never had to do it. Im going to post some pictures. Enjoy

More pictures coming soon!
I have some more pictures to put up so hopefully i can get the chance to post them in the next few days. The temperature has kind of leveled off lately so thats one thing to be thankful for. Were working really hard again so its not unusual to only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night. Thats how we do it in the Marine Corps though. Sleep is a crutch! Not much else new going on so hopefully i can get those pics up soon.
