Thursday Already
Wow things actually go pretty fast out here, its Thursday already. I cant believe my last post was on Sunday. We haven't been working as much as we were before. Our squad is the best in the company so far. Our commanding officer called us "The best squad by far." I guess a lot of the other squads screw around or fight with each other. Our squad pretty much gets along with each other though. I don't have to be the only one to post on this blog (hint, hint) it would be nice to hear about stuff going on back home. I'm taking some pictures so once i feel like i have enough ill put them up. I'll try to get some pictures of the area so everyone can see what its like around here. Its actually not as dry as I had imagined. We are right by the Euphrates river so theres alot of palm trees and vegetation. Most of the people in the are farmers so theres an intricate irrigation system.

Hi Andy!! Your mom and sister emailed your blog address!! The Euphrates River reminds me of Mrs. Fuller's 7th grade Bible Class. She had a funny, kinda slushy way of saying "Euphrates" and "Fertile Crescent". It didn't seem like a real place, even though I knew and know it is. Probably because it seems ancient and mythic. Now I have a nephew actually standing on that ground. Amazing! I'll bet it doesn't seem like the Garden of Eden now though, huh?
Uncle Dan retired a year and a half ago from the USAF, so it's no longer a possibility he will be joining you. However he still does work for Air Force Global Weather; so a up to date personal forecast for anywhere in the world is still available. Oh, the perks of being related to a Rozema are just endless!!
We'll watch your blog and be praying for you! The pictures are great!! God Bless You, and of course, be careful.
Aunt Pam
